Circa: 1800 Manufacturer: England
This English brass wall pocket is large with an intricate pierced design to the back as well as to the front edge of the pocket. These pieces are very decorative & prized more for their beauty than their function. They may have been used near the fireplace to hold small pieces of wood & paper to start the fire. They look wonderful wherever they are hung. This one measures 9 3/4" wide x 2 1/2" deep x 7 1/2" high. Circa 1800-1820 |
