This is an English mid-19th century decorative brass plate that was on a safe. The plate has a beautiful coat of arms in raised relief, plus writing around the circle. It says "Milners' Patent Improved Fire-Resisting & Strong Holdfast Safe." The plate measures 8 1/2" diameter. Circa 1850
