This is an early English Masons ironstone jug in deep cobalt blue with a floral design in blue, pink, green & lots of gold, all in raised relief. There's a lovely gold rim around the top. It's in excellent condition, & isn't marked except for a tiny impressed "5" & letters that look like "olys," possibly the pattern name. The jug measures 7" high. We estimate its age at circa 1815-1825. |
