This is an English Masons ironstone jug in the Heron pattern of dark blue, rust, lighter blue, green and cream. The jug is marked "Fenton Stone Works" in a blue border with the number 311 below that. Godden estimates the age at circa 1824. The jug has crazing and some wear on the handle, but it's in perfect condition. |
