This is an English early 19th century ironstone jug in the "Rich Ruby" pattern of cobalt blue, orange, peach, green and cream. The jug's dragon shaped handle is very special as well as the deep colors of the pattern. There is an impressed mark of "ironstone china," but no maker's mark. We think it's probably Davenport. The jug measures 5 1/2" high. Circa 1820-30 |
