It's made in the same design as the full sized coal scuttles, & it looks nice with greenery & small flowers in it. It measures 4 1/4" wide x 2 3/4" deep x 5 1/2" high to the handle. Circa 1850
 

English Silverplate Match Safe This is an English silverplate vesta (match safe) with a striker on the bottom and a pretty chased foliate design on the front and back, and a small ring for attaching it to a chain. The silver and the chased design are in excellent condition. It measures 1 5/8" wide x 1 7/8" high. Circa 1919
